Soya oats seekh kebab

Categories : Starters

Craving for some seekh kebabs since long. Here’s my healthy vegetarian version of seekh kebabs made with soya and oats! 😋😋

Recipe

Ingredients
• Soya chunks – 1.5 cup
• Rolled oats – 1 cup
• Rava (Semolina) – 1/4 cup
• Onion – 2 small
• Carrot – 1 small
• Green chillies – 2
• Ginger garlic paste – 1.5 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
• Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
• Sugar – 1/2 tsp
• Salt – To stove
• Oil – 1 tbsp

1. Boil the soya chunks with some salt. I microwaved them for 10 minutes. Drain the water and squeeze to remove the water content completely

2. Roughly dice the onions, carrot and green chillies. In a mixer, add the vegetables, soya chunks and rolled oats. Blend for 30 seconds

3. Add ginger garlic paste, dry spices, sugar and salt. Blend again for 30 seconds or until the mixture looks well blended. Transfer to a plate and add rava, oil. Try to bring the mixture together like a very soft dough

4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and give them the shape of kebabs or fingers as you like. If you have skewers, you can assemble the kebabs on the skewers

5. Grease a non stick pan with some oil and cook the kebabs evenly from all sides on low to medium flame until they are dark golden brown

Serve hot with ketchup or chutney of your choice!
