Mix veg burger

Burger time!! Fresh buns, mix veg patty, mayonnaise, ketchup and your choice of toppings! 🍔

Recipe

Ingredients
For the patty
• Boiled and mashed potatoes – 6 medium
• Finely chopped carrot – 1 large
• Peas – 1/2 cup
• Sweet corn kernels – 1/2 cup
• Finely chopped green chillies – 3
• Corn flour – 5 tbsp
• Turmeric powder – 3/4 tbsp
• Red chilli powder – 1.25 tbsp
• Coriander powder – 1.5 tbsp
• Black pepper powder – 1 tbsp
• Raw mango powder – 1 tsp
• Chaat masala – 1 tsp
• Salt – To taste

For burger
• Butter
• Buns – 6
• Onion (rings) – 2 small
• Tomato (rings) – 2 small
• Cheese slice – 6
• Mayonnaise
• Tomato ketchup

For making the patty

1. Boil the peas, sweet corn kernels and carrot for 6-7 minutes. Drain and transfer to a plate

2. Take the mashed potatoes in a bowl. Add the boiled vegetables and green chillies to this and mix well. Add the corn flour and mix well

3. In a small bowl, mix together all the dry spices and salt. Add this spice mix to the vegetable mixture and mix well. Refrigerate this for about 30 minutes

4. Divide the vegetable mixture into 6 equal parts and make patties out of each part. In a non stick pan, shallow fry these patties until they’re crispy and brown on both the sides. Transfer to a plate

For assembling the burger

1. Cut the buns into two equal parts horizontally and toast them on both sides with some butter. Once they’re crispy and slightly brown, transfer to a plate

2. On the bottom half of the bun, apply some mayonnaise. Keep onion rings on this. Place the patty on the onion rings and keep the tomato rings on the patty

3. On the top half of the bun, apply some ketchup. Place a cheese slice on the tomatoes and close the burger with the top half. Toast the burger for a minute with some butter so that the cheese melts

Sprinkle some black salt on top of your burgers and enjoy!!
