Chilly garlic potato tots
Quick and easy snack! Tiny tots made with semolina, potato, garlic and chilly 😍
Ingredients
• Oil – 1.5 tbsp
• Finely chopped garlic – 6 to 7
• Finely chopped green chillies – 2
• Chilli flakes – 1.5 tsp
• Oregano – 1.5 tsp
• Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
• Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
• Water – 2 cups
• Sooji (Semolina) – 1 cup
• Boiled and mashed potatoes – 2 medium
• Salt – To taste
• Fresh coriander leaves
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic cloves and sautée them until they’re golden brown. Add green chillies, mix well and cook for 30 seconds
2. Add 2 cups of water and mix well. Add chili flakes, oregano, black pepper, cumin powder, salt and boil the water. Once the water boils, gradually add sooji mixing continuously
3. Cook this until the sooji completely absorbs the water and mixture comes together like a dough. Transfer this to a bowl
4. Add the potatoes and coriander leaves to the sooji mixture and knead to form a soft dough
5. Make bite sized small tots. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the potato tots on medium heat until they’re crispy and golden brown
Your tiny potato tots are ready! Serve hot with some ketchup and enjoy 😉
