Categories : Starters

Healthy version of your favorite cigar rolls. Because these are baked, not fried!

Ingredients
• Bread slices – 15
• Cheese spread – 2.5 tbsp
• Finely chopped onions – 2 small
• Finely chopped garlic – 7 to 8
• Finely chopped green chillies – 2 small
• Boiled and mashed potatoes – 2 small
• Chilli flakes – 1 tsp + 1/2 tsp
• Oregano – 1 tsp + 1/2 tsp
• Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
• Salt – To taste
• Butter – 2 tbsp
• Milk mixture – 1.5 tbsp milk + 1.5 tbsp water

1. Take the bread slices and remove the edges using a sharp knife. Use a rolling pin to flatten each of the bread slices

2. Take the removed edges and blend them into a fine powder. Transfer to a bowl

3. Add onions, garlic, green chillies and potatoes to the bread powder and mix well. Add chili flakes, oregano, black pepper and salt. Mix well

4. Add cheese spread and mix well. Alternatively, you can also use 2-3 grated cheese cubes. Make 15 equal portions of the stuffing and roll into cylinders of the size of your bread slices

5. Spread the milk mixture onto the edges of bread slice to make them a bit moist, this will help in sealing the rolls. Place the stuffing on any one edge of the bread slice. Roll into a cigar shape and slightly press the opposite edge to seal the rolls

6. Mix together melted butter, 1/2 tsp chilli and 1/2 tsp oregano. Apply this butter evenly on the cigar rolls

8. Preheat oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes. Bake the cigar rolls at 200 degrees for 10 minutes

Serve hot with sides of your choice! 😋
